Molybdenite occurs within the Separation Point Granite Batholith (Cretaceous) at Mt Evans (Canaan). Other occurrences are within lower Palaeozoic metasediments near the eastern margin of the Karamea Granite Batholith (late Palaeozoic-ear1y Mesozoic) - at Eliot Creek, Roaring Lion River, and Karamea...
