How to use Syndicated Feeds

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It is a tool for getting updates from sites that are continuously changing, like blogs, newspapers, and nzresearch.org.nz. You will be see bright orange RSS feed icons on many nzresearch.org.nz pages: these are links to RSS documents, which are also called "feeds", "web feeds", or sometimes "channels".

All nzresearch.org.nz feeds return the 50 most recent records that match the feed criteria.

Available Feeds

The nzresearch.org.nz websites provides several RSS feeds corresponding to many browse pages, including:

• All records.
• Theses and Dissertations.
• Institution feeds (available from institution pages).
• Author feeds (e.g. Reeves, Steve).
• Subject feeds (e.g. Economic Theory).

Search Feeds

You can construct an RSS feed corresponding to a particluar search term by constructing an SRU search, and adding the parameter stylesheet=rss.xml. This feature is currently experimental.
