Whitireia is committed to supporting and encouraging research as part of its teaching and learning culture. Staff at Whitireia undertake a wide range of research, which enhances degree level teaching, as well as other programmes.Applied research at Whitireia is strong in the Faculties of Health, Education & Social Sciences; the Faculty of Business & Information Technology; and the ongoing development of internationally recognised creative research achievements in the Faculty of Arts & Communication. In addition to this, externally funded research by the Pacific Health Research Centre and the Whitireia Nursing Education Research and Development Centre are key success areas. Business Links funded research projects have also been successful in developing collaborative research partnerships.
