Medications with anticholinergic (AC) prop- erties have adverse effects on cognition and many guidelines recommend avoiding them in older adults. Theoretically they could negate beneļ¬ts of cholinesterase inhibitor (CI) treatment in patients dementia patients, although there is inadequate evidence to date.
